The Sewing Studio VIP Blogger Event (and a giveaway)

This past Thursday, I was invited to attend a sewing night for bloggers at The Sewing Studio. You might remember back in the Fall, I took an introductory sewing class. There were four bloggers (including myself) on this particular night - @anne_greenwood, @petitepearstyle and @lisajtoronto, our instructor Christina and the lovely Stephanie (@blushpretty) who was tweeting photos of us sewing all night (check out #lovesewingforlife on Twitter). The project for the night, a business card holder made of denim and this really cool plastic material. A big thanks to Denise and Stephanie for the invitation to this fun event. I truly enjoyed myself. It was a great feeling to finish a sewing project in one night.

Don't forget to scroll down to the end for a giveaway!

GIVEAWAY TIME
(I believe in making giveaways easy so before you enter, promise me you will check out The Sewing Studio website)

Giveaway #1 - I have some $25 sewing class discount cards to give away to the first twenty-five people who email me at blarknessmail[at]gmail[dot]com with a mailing address for me to send it to. Sadly, this will only apply to Toronto folks as it is only valid at their Toronto Summerhill location. I have taken the intro class and it's a great basic class to either learn if you are a beginner or refresh your sewing skills. I highly recommend taking this class if you have always wanted to learn how to sew or if you need a new hobby. Remember that they offer many other different classes for adults and children.

Giveaway #2 - If you are planning to take a sewing class at The Sewing Studio (you will need this kit) or you need to replenish your sewing kit or just need some of these things to hem your pants, you should enter. All you have to do is leave your name and email in the comment section.  In this bag, you will receive a water bottle, black thread, straight pins, a pincushion, flexible tape measure, a stitch ripper, hand-sewing needles, fabric scissors, a marking pen, a sewing gauge, a tracing wheel and tracing paper. This is open to everyone and I will pick a winner on April 2nd. Good luck and thanks for entering (if you do).

Congrats to Steph, she won the sewing kit!
